I agree. Those jacks can really get you someimes. I usually play them like a small pair, only betting if I hit a set, or no overcards on the board. I also hate hands like k/j or q/j unsuited. I can't keep myself from calling and I usually have to fold on the flop.

I am so happy if I can just pick up the blinds with JJ or 1010. They are both strong preflop hands but they are so vunerable. Especially at the lower limits that I play where players will call bets all the way to the river w/ AK and some times catch that ace or king on the end to win.
When I first started I used to play way too many unsuited face cards like QJ, KQ from just about any position, even calling a raise with them. I've since fixed this leak but it can be hard because hands like that look so good. |

I agree to this statement for the "jacks" or even the pocket queens. Someone holding AK has about a 45% chance to still beat you, too close for comfort. However if the flop falls rainbow and rags and I have the overpair, I'll bet these hands hard. My least favorite hand is 23os |
