I agree. Those jacks can really get you someimes. I usually play them like a small pair, only betting if I hit a set, or no overcards on the board. I also hate hands like k/j or q/j unsuited. I can't keep myself from calling and I usually have to fold on the flop.

I am so happy if I can just pick up the blinds with JJ or 1010. They are both strong preflop hands but they are so vunerable. Especially at the lower limits that I play where players will call bets all the way to the river w/ AK and some times catch that ace or king on the end to win.

When I first started I used to play way too many unsuited face cards like QJ, KQ from just about any position, even calling a raise with them. I've since fixed this leak but it can be hard because hands like that look so good.

The Jacks strike again. See my post in the Bad beat section.

The 7's have been kind to me lately. I may take them off the list.

[quote=guyonthecouch] I usually play them like a small pair, only betting if I hit a set, or no overcards on the board.

I agree to this statement for the "jacks" or even the pocket queens. Someone holding AK has about a 45% chance to still beat you, too close for comfort. However if the flop falls rainbow and rags and I have the overpair, I'll bet these hands hard.

My least favorite hand is 23os
