Anyone see Phil Ivey at Tahoe WSOP circuit event?

This isn't the newest circuit event being shown on ESPN but its from last week. They are probably still rerunning it with the others though.

Anyhow, Phil Ivey had been playing pretty well and was dominating the table. He got lucky a few times late but he was such a huge chip leader that he really could afford to gamble some.

Anyhow, Ivey gets heads up with a 4-1 chip lead and for what ever reason seemed to be making one mistake after another. Realistically you know he wasn't on full on tilt because he did recover from some of his blunders with some expert reads and bluffs but in the coverage that ESPN showed it seemed like he was going all in on either bottom pair or a draw every time. Eventually he lost reraising all in on the river with just bottom pair.

Overall Ivey was much more successful at the WSOP events than last year (he did however make a lot of money off WSOP side games in 2004). Still, in the coverage shown so far, he seems a little off. You know he's doing something right for getting to the final table consistantly but he doesn't seem to be the completely stoic, always observant and calculating Ivey that I'm used to seeing in another tournaments.

Ivey is one of my favorite players so I'm not trying to trash talk him in any way. This guy is one of the best in the world hands down. I just wondered what other people who saw this tournament thought of Ivey's performance down the stretch.
