View Full Version : Funniest reasoning you have heard

Some of my favorites....

"...It was suited"
"...I had a feeling 6,9 would work"
"...Sometimes you just gotta play 7,2"
"...Its Only limit"

What are your favorite reasonings that you've heard?

Being soooted is probably the most common but since you mentioned that already, here are a few others.

You have to show down weak hands in order to get paid of later...

Think of the implied odds I'm getting if I hit w/ 72 and crack a big pair...

I was already in the small blind so I had to call the two raises in front of me...

If Doyle Brunson can win w/ 10 2 then so can I...

Its what the matador would do... (heard back when TILT was airing)...

This should be a fun thread to read. The above were just a few I remember right off the top of my head. I'm sure some of you have heard even more ridiculous reasons and look forward to reading them.

I just had my :as: :ah: cracked by a guy with :ks: :th:. It was EARLY in a SNG. I had my entire 1000 in preflop and he called. Flop comes with a pair of 10s. I ask him why he did it and he said, "I was bored". I ,on the other hand, was pissed. Now I have to start all over again at the Noble SnG $15,000 jackpot. I had only one but told him I had won 3 in a row until he did what he did.

No lie, a guy posted in chat that he always plays a card containing a card that matches his seat number. For instance, if this guy is in seat 7, then any time he gets 77, A7, even 27 he is going to call and see a flop despite a raise because that's his lucky strategy. I thought he was making it up but twice I saw him show down K 7 and and 7 10 on the end. Both times he had made top pair but was outkicked and called it down any way despite strong betting.

I'm tired... I thought I saw KK and it was too late when I hit raise.
