You need to turn on the instant email notification by default, becuase people forget about sites, and if you turn that on (I did recently, and came back here cause someone responded to something.)

It should keep more people coming back.

Done and done. Any "future" members will automatically have this checked by default. Any current members can modify it in their control panel!
